Congress funded the Volunteer Caregiver Corps and ACL awarded the grant to a team to manage the funds headed up by The Oasis Institute in Missouri. They have now issued an RFP for funding of volunteer caregiver initiatives. This is a great opportunity for state respite coalitions, grantees and their partners and the ARCH Network to expand or help sustain volunteer respite opportunities.
Community Care Corps is looking for innovative models utilizing local volunteers to assist family caregivers, older adults, or persons with disabilities maintain their independence.
