Program Description

Whether you are the caregiver for an aging parent/grandparent, helping out after a hospital stay, or you are taking care of your spouse with a chronic health condition, taking care of yourself is one of the most important things you can do. The Caregiver Respite Program assists qualified residents with a limited amount of no-cost, in-home care services, which provides family caregivers with the temporary relief they need from day-to-day caregiving tasks. Respite care also provides the person you care for with beneficial social engagement and the support they need to age in place. Funded through the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the Older Americans Act, and voluntary contributions from individuals. Eligibility is based on the physical and/or cognitive needs of the care recipient, not finances. To learn more or to make a contribution, contact Senior Services at 303-464-5529.
